ABSTRACT
This research investigates the quality management practices among Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) consultants in Edo State, Nigeria. The study used a quantitative research design and collected data from 50 AEC consultants. The most common practices were design reviews, document reviews, and adherence to standards and codes, while advanced techniques like root cause analysis and digital tools were less prevalent. The study found a positive correlation between certain practices and consultant patronage. Barriers to quality management adoption were identified, including cost, lack of management commitment, resistance to change, and resource limitations. The research underscores the need for organizational commitment and a culture of continuous improvement to enhance quality management practices. It contributes to understanding quality management in the AEC industry in Edo State and offers insights for improving project quality, client satisfaction, and overall industry performance.
