ABSTRACT
This research probes into the psychological and emotional impact of lyricism on individuals and society, scrutinizing the complex relationship between lyrics, music, and mental processes. We investigate how lyrics, as an instrument for mental stimulation, influence emotional experiences, cognitive processes, and social behaviors through a neuropsychological window. Our findings illustrates that a person’s taste in music and lyrics significantly institutes their thought processes, emotional regulation, and social interactions. The study reveals that lyrics have a strong impact on emotional experiences, with individuals using music as a means to process, express, and direct emotions. Furthermore, lyrics are found to shape mental processes, influencing behaviours, beliefs, and attitudes. This research concludes by asserting that lyrics stimulates and echoes the thought process of the individual and society. It also recommends that a person’s ideology should be understood by the kind of lyrics they consume.
