PRINCIPALS TIME MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS EFFECTIVENESS IN EDO SOUTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT

ABSTRACT

The persistent under-achievement in mathematics has warranted further research to determine what factors have not been considered nor given enough attention in the on- going reform efforts. Principals time management practices and public secondary schools effectiveness. The study was set up to determine Principals time management practices and public secondary schools effectiveness. To achieve this, a correlational research design was adopted which targeted­­­­ 845 selected public secondary in Edo South Senatorial District of Edo State. The sample for the study was 120 respondents through simple sample techniques. The information was gathered through the use of questionnaire. The questionnaire helped the researchers to have a wider view on the research problem. The result was analyzed using frequency count, simple percentage, mean, standard deviation and z-test. The results revealed that there is low level of Principals time management practices and public secondary schools effectiveness. The result also showed that there is low level of Principals time management practices and public secondary schools effectiveness in Edo South Senatorial district. The study therefore recommended that Principals need to intensify efforts at routine check on public school facilities in order to guarantee that they are safe and in good condition for use.
