This research investigates the presence and antimicrobial resistance patterns of Staphylococcus aureus in raw meat sold at Adolor Market, a prominent local market known for its diverse meat offerings. The study encompasses a comprehensive analysis of four (4)raw meat samples collected from multiple vendors within Adolor Market, aiming to shed light on the prevalence of Staphylococcus aureus and its resistance to commonly used antibiotics. A total of four raw meat samples were systematically obtained from various vendors across the market. These samples were subjected to rigorous microbiological analysis, including Staphylococcus aureus isolation and antibiotic susceptibility testing. Key findings of the study include the identification of multiple Staphylococcus aureus strains in the raw meat samples, each displaying distinctive resistance patterns against clinically relevant antibiotics. The presence of antimicrobial-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in raw meat products sold at Adolor Market raises significant public health concerns, given the potential for infections that may be challenging to treat with conventional antibiotics.
