ABSTRACT
Water and phytoplankton samples were collected fourth-nightly for three months, from October to December, 2022 from three sampled stations of river Ugborgor in Edo state of which station 3 was discovered to be more polluted. While the water temperature ranged from 24oC to 32 oC and the air temperatures from 26oC to 34oC, the pH was basic (7.8 – 8-8). The river was high in ions (conductivity values of 0.4µS/cm – 1.4µS/cm) and total dissolved solid values ranged from 0.2mg/L to 0.7mg/L. Dissolved oxygen ranged from 5mg/L to 10mg/L. Total hardness from 0.2mg/L to 18mg/L. Nitrate and phosphate values ranged from 0.1mg/L to 1.0mg/L and 0.6mg/L to 2mg/L respectively.
