This essay has demonstrated the political revolution by Odia Ofeimun’s in “The Poet Lied and other poems”. The main focus has been on how Ofeimun uses metaphor, irony, sarcasm and the use of symbolism in carrying out his revolution. Odia Ofeimun represent a generation of African writers and the new Nigeria poetic tradition, who take delight in Mass participation in their poetry.
