The leaf extract of Peperomia pellucida were screened for its antimicrobial and phytochemical activities. The solvents used for the leaves is methanol. The extract was tested against human pathogenic disease causing bacterial such as Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aerginosa, Escherichia coli using the well diffusion method. The ethanolic extract of leaf of P. pellucida inhibition against the entire test microbe ranging from 10 to 14 mm diameter inhibitory zone. In present study, bacterial extract showed a varying zone of inhibition of growth of tested organism. Phytochemical properties of leaf of P. pellucida obtain from ethanolic extract was investigated using standard methods, in which, alkaloid, cardiac glucoside, flavonoid, phenolic compound, tannins, quinones, saponins were present. The result confirmed that presence of antibacterial activity and phytochemical in shade dried extract of Peperomia pellucida against the human pathogenic bacteria.
