ABSTRACT
This work is aimed at analyzing and comparing the personality of Peter Obi to Plato’s Philosopher King detailed in his work ‘’ The Republic’’. Plato’s concept of the Philosopher King is a captivating topic that has stirred extensive debate and analysis in the realm of political philosophy. This work explores the significance, implications, and practicality of Plato’s Philosopher King in contemporary Nigerian society. This work delves into the historical context of Plato’s ideas, examining the challenges he sought to address. It explores the key attributes and responsibilities of the philosopher king, emphasizing their role in guiding society towards justice and the common good.
