ABSTRACT

The general objective of the study is to examine the relationship between Performance management practices and employee engagement in the hospitality industry. The specific objectives are to examine the relationship between quantity of work and employee engagement in the hospitality industry, examine the relationship between quality of work and employee engagement in the hospitality industry, find out how self-reliance affect employee engagement in the hospitality industry, to ascertain the effect of productive work habits on employee engagement in the hospitality industry. The sample of this study is limited to fifty (50) respondent randomly selected. The questionnaire was designed using a likert scale to measure the degree of agreement by the respondents to a statement that describes a situation. The finding showed that there is a relationship between quantity of work and employee engagement in the hospitality industry, no relationship between quality of work and employee engagement in the hospitality industry, Self-reliance was discovered to have effect on employee engagement in the hospitality industry. and also there are effect of productive work habits on employee engagement in the hospitality industry. The study therefore recommended that organizational management should always evaluate the level of work which may either make some employee to be engage in their work. Valuable insight should be made for efficiency productivity, and time management skills
