ABSTRACT
This Research study was carried out to determine the extent of exposure and responsiveness of the Edo residents to media campaign against police brutality. The aim of the study is to find out & determine the extent of exposure and responsiveness of the Edo residents to media Campaigns against police brutality. Survey research method was adopted using Questionnaire as the instrument to carefully collect data from 400 sample size population made up of Edo residents through three stages using the simple random, stratified and simple sampling procedure. The Research was anchored on Technology determinism theory and attitude change theories. The Findings of the Research shows that Edo residents has a relatively high level of awareness & access to media Campaigns against police brutality. The findings also further proved that the Campaigns are very effective in raising awareness about police brutality among Edo residents, influencing and changing police policies and behavior towards masses positively. Hence the researcher among others recommended that, Media should continue to invest in media campaigns as well as prioritize alongside the use of motion pictures and text.
