ABSTRACT
This work focused on Organizational Planning and Growth: Of Selected Commercial Banks in Benin City. The main objective is to identify the effect of goal setting/development on organizational growth, to assess the effect of strategic development on organizational growth, to evaluate the effect of implementation procedures on organizational growth and to ascertain the effect of evaluation/control on organizational growth. The research design utilized in this study was a descriptive survey. The population of the study consist totaled 162 persons. The sampling technique used was the Random sampling technique, also the sample size was determined using the Taro Yamane’s formula which was 115. The researcher analyzed the data collected based on the responses from the questionnaire using descriptive statistics. The hypothesis formulated were tested using regression analysis. Based on the above findings, the study concluded that organizational planning needs to put in place the necessary strategies to evaluate and control growth. On the basis of the above finding, the study recommends the
objectives should convert the corporate vision into specific performance targets, results and outcomes company management wants to achieve and then use these objectives as yardsticks for tracking company’s progress and performance.
