ABSTRACT
Contact lenses have improved the quality of life not only by correcting refractive errors but also by providing better appearance and less restriction in activities. Unfortunately, contact lenses can cause complications that are disappointing for the patients, the ocular complications range from mild irritation to sight-threatening contact lens related diseases, worst case scenario, it can lead to loss of the eye. The goal of this study is to investigate contact lens related complications and their association with daily and extended wear. The survey research design will be adopted for the study where by search engines database will be searched for related articles published within 2011 to 2021. The study will help optometrist with a better concept of understanding the common ocular surface complications in both daily and extended contact lens wear because tending to this contact lens problems appropriately can forestall contact lens drop‑out and decrease the consequences.
