To sum up all that has been said so far, Nigeria's pivotal role In the establishment of the organisation of African unity was a testament to its own commitment to pan-Africanism and decolonisation of the African continent.Being a fresh independent state did not deterNigeria's involvement in the movement that were geared toward self determination in the African continent the issues of unity of all peoples of African decent was a crucial one during the early pre colonial years in Africa. It was so as independent states refresher to colonisation are we trying to establish their place in the world. As a continent whose greater parts were under colonisation several ideas were put out in regards to the unification of African states who stop a number of heads of state in Africa when nationalists each of them we vote in pan-Africanist movement with the aim of a single goal which was unity in Africa. Although with different approaches the focus was to establish a unified continent which was completely free from foreign and external colonial control.
