Nigerian music's influence on black culture in the diaspora extends beyond just its artistic and economic impact. It serves as a catalyst for social change and empowerment, providing a platform for marginalized voices and shedding light on issues such as inequality, injustice, and the African diaspora experience. Through their lyrics and activism, Nigerian artists amplify the voices of the oppressed, challenge systems of power, and inspire solidarity among black communities worldwide. Moreover, Nigerian music has played a pivotal role in fostering cross-cultural dialogue and understanding, breaking down barriers, and building bridges between African and diaspora communities.18 As Nigerian music continues to evolve and reach new audiences globally, its relevance and prospects on black culture in the diaspora will only continue to grow, contributing to a more inclusive, diverse, and interconnected world.
