ABSTRACT

This research work focuses on moral deficiencies in Denja Abdullahi and in the course of the investigation which further looks at greed and lust in the text, it is discovered greed is one of the chief societal anomaly which has eat deep into the fabrics of our world as those who are privilege to get into power see it as their birth right and thereby clinching to power and at the same time amassing wealth through force and threat and at worst kill to remain in it even when they are rejected. Furthermore, lust is an aspect of moral decadence that is becoming rampant in our world as teenagers and adolescents see sex as pleasure and shamelessly engage in it without any sense of fear of God nor their guardians. In the text examined, it is evident that greed leads to lust. The full family of the king and his friend are lust both to power and sex.
