ABSTRACT
This study investigated the Management Effectiveness of Public Housing Estates, A Study of Federal Housing Estate Aduwawa, Benin City. The secondary data was gotten from books, journals and articles, while the primary source was a structured questionnaire which was used to obtain data from five (5) EDPA staff and fifty five (55) tenants/occupiers of the estate. Data gathered were analysed using frequency count, simple percentage and content analysis. The study revealed that the management quality of the estate, the management strategies and the level of effectiveness in the management of the estate adopted by the estate managers is satisfactory. The study among other things recommended that Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) should be the maintenance strategy employed in the maintenance of housing estates, rather than wait for the buildings and/or facilities to be badly damaged before effecting the needed repairs.
