ABSTRACT
This project is a Lexicostatistics analysis of Edo, Esan and Igueben language. It is basically a survey-oriented research carried out to examine the similarities and differences between these languages.
The objective of this is to establish the relationship Igueben shares with both Languages. This was achieved by carrying out a mutual intelligibility test on these languages through the lexicostatistical framework put forward by Morris Swadesh (1955).
In this regard, the focus of this research is based on the lexical items of these languages. The lexicostatistical formula was used to determine the level of similarities and differences in the languages under study.
