ABSTRACT
This study examines the language attitude of Yoruba native speakers in the University of Benin. The aim of the study is to investigate the different attitude portrayed by the Yoruba native speakers. And also to investigate where and the language is being used. The data collected relied on two source, the primary source and secondary source. The primary source includes oral interviews, personal observation and questionnaire distribution. The secondary source is based on information elicited from textbook, journals, and papers on the internet and articles. The findings of the investigation show that the attitude of Yoruba native speakers towards Yoruba language in the University of Benin is positive. Parent should endeavour to teach their children to know how important and meaningful their native names are to them.
