ABSTRACT
Language attitude is a universal phenomenon and has received wide attention; however language attitude has not been investigated in Ikpe community. This research aims at examining the attitude of adults in Ikpe community. Ikpe is a community in Ikpoba-okha Local Government Area of Edo State. The method adopted in sourcing data for this research is the primary source of data collection, where the questionnaire method was adopted for collection of data for analysis. The theoretical framework adopted was the mentalist approach. The research found out amongst others that adult in Ikpe community has positive attitude towards Edo language and Edo language is the dominant language in Ikpe community.
