Conclusively, from the result of the survey Carried out, COVID-19 cases have been reported in Benin City. And that optometrists fared well during the pandemic. It is worthy of note that there was the knowledge of COVID-19 infectious nature among optometrists in Benin City. However, even though there might not be a uniform safety measures among optometrists in Benin City, but the report suggests a level of safety measures were already being put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 disease and to ensure the safety of Clinicians, workers and patients. Finally, from the survey, it shows that individuals were largely involved in bearing the bearing the burden of COVID-19 as more optometrists work in private practice than in government sector. Therefore, ensuring safety measures against the spread of COVID-19 disease is a public-private responsibility.
