SUMMARY
This research work focused on Interrogative strategies in Edo Language. The worked identified various types of Interrogatives in Edo Language and the strategies involved in achieving them. The chapter one of this work was the introductory aspect of the work. It gave a concise introduction of the work, the historical background of the Edo people , there socio _cultural profile and the orthography of the language. The chapter also consisted the Aim/objectives of the study, motivation, research question and the methodology used in the collection of data. Chapter two or f the work focused on basic syntactic concept that was used in the work, literature review on what Interrogatives are, the types of Interrogatives, previous studies on Interrogative strategies and contribution of these studies to the present study. 41 In chapter three we went further to discourse the theoretical framework used in this research work who's is the "Generative theory" by Noam Chomsky, We also look at the Role and relevance of the theory to the present research work Finally we presented the data collected in chapter, The data included types ,strategies and examples on how Interrogatives in Edo Language. In chapter five we have successfully given the summary and conclusion of the work.
