ABSTRACT
The emergence of the military in African politics poses a complex hurdle to democracy, stability, and progress on the continent. Factors like historical events, weak democratic institutions, corruption, and regional conflicts contribute to the military's involvement in governance. The outcomes of this trend include abuses of human rights, authoritarian rule, and political unrest, impacting social cohesion and economic growth. Addressing this challenge requires a multi-faceted approach, combining internal reforms, international cooperation, and efforts to promote transparency and fair governance. It is crucial to focus on economic development, job creation, and reducing social disparities to effectively combat the root causes of military interference.
