Abstract

This study was done to determine the effect of germination and growth of the plant. It was conducted in the Forest Resources and Wildlife Management Nursery of the University of Benin, Benin City to examine the effect of germination and growth as well the effect of watering regime on seedling growth. The germination experiment carried out in the nursery was laid in a randomized completely block design (RCBD) pattern The germinated seedlings were rearranged into 3 treatments and 5 replications. 225 seedlings were subjected to three treatments and three replications of watering regime namely: Watering everyday (W1), Watering three times a week (W2) and watering once a week (W3).
