The study was carried out to ascertain the influence of TV musical celebrities dressing pattern on University of Benin students’ mode of dressing.
The George Gerbner’s cultivation theory was considered most relevant for this study because it supports the fact the more students get exposed to television musical celebrities dress style, the more they conform to the style.
Descriptive survey research design was used and the population for the study was 709 students of mass communication department of University of Benin. The Sampling technique used was systematic sampling to select 70 students from the three academic levels which were 200, 300 and 400.
