Focusing on the mediums of radio and football, this study explored how media platforms contribute to promoting and encouraging women’s participation in sports activities. This research project, guided by the Framing Theory of Gregory Bateson (1972), concludes that broadcast media in Edo State effectively contributes to the promotion and engagement of women’s football. The study’s comprehensive approach, incorporating literature exploration, data analysis, findings discussion, and summary, emphasizes the significant role of media coverage in shaping perceptions of women’s football. By framing the sport positively as a platform for empowerment and participation, media outlets have successfully influenced public interest.
