Abstract
This study aims to explore the influence of psychological aids on perceived sport performance of university of Benin athletes. The use of psychological aids, such as cheering, hypnosis, imagery, music and tai chi has been shown to have a positive impact on athletic performance. However, limited research has been conducted specifically on the effects of these techniques on university athletes. Through a mixed-methods approach such as sample and sampling techniques, research design and population of the study, this study will investigate the perceived effectiveness and usage of psychological aids among university of Benin athletes, as well as their influence on perceived sport performance. The findings of this study can provide insight for coaches and athletes on the importance of incorporating psychological aids in their training programs to enhance performance and overall athletic success. Furthermore, it can contribute to the existing literature on sport psychology and provide a better understanding of the role of psychological aids in promoting peak performance among university athletes.
