INFLUENCE OF PARENTAL CARE ON THE ACADEMIC WELLBEING OF STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN SELECTED SPECIAL SCHOOLS IN BENIN CITY, EDO STATE

ABSTRACT

This research endeavor delved into the influence of parental care on the academic well-being of students with special needs attending select special education institutions in Benin City, Edo State. Four research questions guided the investigation. The quantitative study employed a descriptive survey approach. The target population comprised 206 educators from five special schools in Benin City, Edo State. A sample of 103 educators, representing 50% of the population, was selected for participation. Statistical analysis of data collected from participants involved descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation.
