ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine how teachers' attitudes toward their jobs at the public junior secondary schools in Edo State's Ovia North East Local Government Area were affected by their motivation. Finding out how motivation affects teachers' attitudes toward their jobs is the main goal of the research. Descriptive survey research design was used in the study. The participants in the study were all 28 junior secondary public schools located in the Ovia North East local government area of Edo state. Respondents were 204 instructors from the 28 public secondary schools in the Ovia North East local government area of Edo state. Of the 28 public junior secondary schools in the study, five are included in the sample. The study's conclusions showed that, among other things, teachers' motivation affected their attitude toward their jobs in public junior secondary schools in Edo State's Ovia North East Local Government Area. The results showed that teachers' attitudes about their jobs in the public junior secondary schools in Edo State's Ovia North East Local Government Area were highly influenced by their motivation. The government should hold a promotion exercise every year and when it's due, according to some of the recommendations offered. This will significantly improve teachers' performance on the job.
