ABSTRACT
This study assessed the impact of mobile learning on the performance of apprentice of fashion school in Benin City. The objectives of the study were to identify how the implementation of mobile learning has affected the performance of apprentices of fashion school students in Benin City, find out how mobile learning has influenced the performance of fashion apprentices in Benin, ascertain the ways mobile learning have changed the traditional learning experience of fashion school students in Benin city, determine the potential challenges of mobile learning amd out how apprentice of fashion school students in Benin city perceive the impact of mobile learning on their performances. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study and questionnaire served as the instrument for data collection. Findings from the study revealed Mobile learning has affected the performance of fashion students in Benin city from improved collaboration and communication to better personalized learning experience, enhanced engagement and motivation. Findings also indicated that mobile learning has enhanced communication between apprentices and their mentors and peers. However, limited access to technology and internet, distractions and difficulties in maintaining focus are serious challenge to mobile learning. It was concluded that mobile learning has Influenced the performance of fashion apprentices in Benin city by increasing the confidence and motivation level of fashion apprentices. Based on the findings, the researcher recommended that efforts should be made to improve infrastructure and provide access to devices and connectivity. It was also recommended that strategies should be implemented to help students minimize distractions and maintain focus, while engaging in mobile learning activities.
