ABSTRACT
This study investigated the impact of extension education services on the socio-economic activities of farmers in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government area. Using a survey research design and four research questions, the study sampled 60 farmers from four of the eight communities through a multistage sampling technique. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire with demographic information and research items on a four-point Likert scale. Analysis was conducted using simple percentages, frequency distribution, and mean scores. The findings revealed that farmers in Ikpoba-Okha have high awareness and active participation in extension education services, which significantly improve their communication, community involvement, agricultural productivity, and overall socioeconomic status. These services teach new farming methods, marketing strategies, financial management, and provide funding access, thereby diversifying income, and enhancing livelihoods. The study recommends expanding these programs, emphasizing practical skills and community development, and regularly monitoring their impact to ensure effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
