This study became necessary in other to determine the influence the show has on students; if its Negative or Positive. Using the survey design, 15-item questionnaire was used to generate data from 150 students of the mass communication department of BIU. Simple percentages, Frequency Tables and Mean score were used to analyze the data generated through 4-point Likert scale and multi-choice format. The study revealed that the show does not affect the academic performance of students and it has more positive effect on BIU students than negative. The findings also supports past studies of scholars that the shown promotes indecent dressing and immorality among Nigerian youths.
Hence it was recommended that the National Broadcasting commission should regulate the broadcasting of the programmme and the organisers of the show should eliminate indecent dressing and immoral display amongst other recommendations.
