ABSTRACT
This project is a defense of Richard Rorty's distinctive epistemic behaviorism. This project critically analyzes Rorty's assertion that knowledge and beliefs are best understood by focusing on outwardly observable behaviors rather than exclusively on internal cognitive states. The project investigate into Rorty's epistemic behaviorism, its theoretical underpinnings, and its implications for broader philosophical discussions. By critically engaging with Rorty's arguments and comparing them with alternative epistemological frameworks, the study seeks to shed light on the merits and limitations of epistemic behaviorism as a viable approach to understanding human knowledge and cognition.
