IMPORTANCE OF THE EFFECTIVE USE OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS IN THE TEACHING OF CULTURAL AND CREATIVE ART IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS, A CASE STUDY UDU LOCAL GORVENMENT IN DELTA STATE.

ABSTRACT

This research project border on “The importance of the effective use of instructional materials in teaching and learning of cultural and creative art in secondary schools in Udu Local government Area of Delta state.” The aim of this research work is to determine how important is instructional materials in the effective teaching and learning of cultural and creative art in secondary schools in Udu Local government, and to compare the academic performance of students taught using instructional materials in secondary schools in Udu Local government Area of Delta state. Also, to estimate the level of comprehension of the impact of instructional materials on the effective teaching and learning of cultural and creative art in secondary schools in Udu Local government Area, Delta state. The survey design was adopted in conducting this research work. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. Tables were used along with simple percentage for data analysis. The study reveals that instructional materials have a great influence in teaching and learning of cultural and creative art in secondary schools if only they are available for effective utilization.
