ABSTRACT
In this study, our was on the impact of student industrial work experience scheme. The study was specifically on identifying the perception on the business education students on how the student industrial work experience scheme exposure improved their competency in academic activities, determining the benefits of students industrial work experience scheme to business education students examining the influence of the scheme duration on academic performance of business education students and finding out if scheme exposure influences business education students academic performance.
The study adopted the survey research designed and randomly enrolled participants in the study. A total of 70 responses were validated from the enrolled participants were all respondents are students of business education( ACCOUNTING).
The findings also explained if the duration of the scheme is increased reasonably the performance of the students will be better. Students industrial work experience scheme also exposure business education students to the proper and personal quality skills required to promote academic activities and them for future employment. In the same vein exposure them to job opportunities. The study further explained that there’s great Improvement in the academic performance of business education students after the exposure to SIWES and also as a positive impact on their academic performance because there is progression in their academic performance after the exposure to SIWES.
