ABSTRACT
The aim of this research was to investigate how different leadership styles affect the growth and development of an organization, with a focus on the University of Benin. Specifically, it aimed to explore the influence of leadership styles on the punctuality of workers at UNIBEN and their attitudes towards customers, primarily students. Utilizing a survey design, data was gathered from selected participants. Analysis of the collected data revealed that management practices at UNIBEN positively influence employees' punctuality and attitude towards students. The study also highlights that the leadership style at UNIBEN encourages employees towards good customers’ relations. The study concludes amongst others that management at UNIBEN encourages employees towards punctual attitude in UNIBEN. The study also highlights that the leadership style at UNIBEN encourages employees towards good customers’ relations. The study also reveals that employees at UNIBEN sees management as fair in the handling of organizational matters. The study also shows that management organizes regular training for employees towards effective handling of equipment at the University of Benin. The study recommended that management at the University of Benin should promote conducive working relationship with subordinates. The study also recommends that management should imbibe supportive leadership style . Management at the University of Benin should also facilitate effective communication and encourage participatory decision-making. Management should also encourage regular leadership training for their staff. Employees work commitment should be promoted through adequate recognition of employee job efficiency by promotions, recommendations, and appropriate rewards
