ABSTRACT
This study was designed to assess the impact of leadership skills and the grow of small scale business in Nigeria. Three research questions were raised to guide the study. The method adopted by the researcher is the convenient sampling technique. A total of one hundred and seventy (170) respondents randomly selected twelve SMEs within Ekosodin community. Questionnaire was used for the study. The reliability of the instruments was established at 0.77 using the Cronbach Alpha method. The data collected were analyzed using simple percentage and mean. The findings of the study revealed that; the leadership of supervisor positively impacts the success of the business, it effectively communicates the business long-term goals. It fosters a positive work environment, it make informed and fair decisions, motivate and inspire employees to perform their best. It actively promotes strategies to foster business growth, their business invests in employee training and development to support business growth, employee feedback is valued and acted upon to enhance business growth opportunities and their business is agile and adaptable to changes in the business environment, which aids in growth. It was recommended that; it is imperative for entrepreneurs and business owners to prioritize the development and application of these skills within their organizations. Recognizing the pivotal role that leadership plays in steering businesses towards success.
