ABSTRACT
This study focused on the impact of international migrants’ remittances on rural household income and infrastructural development in Edo South, Nigeria. The rationale was to access the impact of international migrants’ remittances on rural household income and infrastructural development in the area. The objectives were to analyse the variation in the volume of international remittances received among the selected communities; examine the impacts of international migrants remittances on rural household income in the rural areas of Edo South; investigate the role of international migrants’ remittances on rural infrastructural development; compare the impacts of household income and international migrants’ remittances on rural infrastructural development; and to examine if there are any significant differences in the amount of money sent to rural household before and during COVID 19 pandemic.
