ABSTRACT

The goal of this study was to see how changing the maintenance culture of public building in Nigeria can help ensure the safety of lives. the following aim led this research: to look into ways to improve maintenance culture in Nigeria to figure out how to increase the quality of public building through better maintenance culture and to look into the element that influence maintenance culture in Nigeria. The study used a descriptive and explanatory design, and in order to gather data, questionnaires and library research were both used. Data was then analyzed using the chi square statistical tool at a 10% level of significance. The results were presented as frequency tables and percentages. 32 staff of UNIVERSITY OF BENIN faculty of physical science as respondents. The study's findings showed that the government should take additional steps to raise the standard of public building in Nigeria.
