The findings revealed that students possess a moderate level of knowledge regarding environmental sanitation, This suggests that environmental education significantly contributes to students’ awareness of sanitation issues. Additionally, students' attitudes towards environmental sanitation practices were also moderate, as indicated by key factors such as cultural background, personal experiences, awareness of environmental issues, peer group influence, and access to eco-friendly resources. The study concludes that while environmental education positively influences students’ knowledge and attitudes toward sanitation practices, the impact remains moderate due to existing challenges. To enhance its effectiveness, it is recommended that educational institutions integrate more practical and interactive learning experiences, increase sanitation awareness campaigns, improve access to sanitation facilities, strengthen policy implementation, and leverage digital technology for environmental education. Implementing these strategies will not only improve students’ knowledge but also encourage long-term engagement in sustainable sanitation practices.
