The attention of the researcher has been drawn to the fact that though linguistic such as R.C Abraham in (1935-1952) worked on the phonetics of Otukpo dialect and since them no concise work to the best of my knowledge has been done on phonology or morphology. Hence this research work seeks to investigate the Idoma verb morphology. The descriptive linguistic framework as exemplified in the work of Leonard Bloomfield and others was employed in this work.
In the analysis carried out on idoma verbs morphology shows, that verbs in the language can be grouped into five groups namely: simply verbs, complex verbs, compound verbs, action verbs and static verbs. Finally, this research work will be on great important to native speakers of Idoma especially the Otukpo people and it would contribute to the internal structure of words in the language.
