ABSTRACT
Over the past centuries, our understanding of microorganisms has drastically changed. Microorganisms can be found practically anywhere and it has been discovered that filthy air might be hazardous to one's health. Atmospheric air, including indoor air, is a basic factor affecting the proper functioning of the human body.The main sources of microbiological air pollution include natural sources such as the soil, water, and plant surface contamination. Desiccation stress has made the atmosphere a hostile environment for microbes. Controlling airborne microorganisms can be accomplished in a number of ways. Air is frequently thought to be a major carrier of bacterial pathogens like Staphylococcusaureus, Streptococcuspneumoniae Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Haemophilusand Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The result of this study reveals that the airborne bacteria count for location one ranges from 1.39×102cfu/m3 to 1.204×103cfu/m3 in week three and two respectively while values for location two ranges from 1.065×103cfu/m3 to 2.182×103cfu/m3 in week three and two respectively. Microbiological quality assessment of indoor air study is one of the most vital investigations to determine indoor air pollution by microbes. The result showed that Micrococcus spp., Acinetobacterspp., Bacillus spp., Proteus spp.and E.coli were the diversity of bacteria isolate present. The result showed that Micrococcussp.and Bacillus sp. were both resistant to cloxacin. The result showed that all bacteria isolates had an index which is above the permissible limit of 0.2 with Bacillus sp. having the highest of 0.5.
