ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to access the comparison of tropospheric ozone (O3 ) in Sagamu Industrial area Ogun state and Bali Agricultural area Taraba state for the year 2021-2023 with sentinel-5P data. The data collected was a secondary data for the assessment of tropospheric ozone (O3) extracted from google earth engine using sentinel-5P (COPERNISCUS/S5P/NRTI/L3). A comparison for the level of tropospheric ozone (O3) was done for 2021-2023. Results showed that the annual mean concentration for Bali ranged from 283831mo/m2 to 283832.16mol/m2 . The highest concentrations for Bali were found in year 2023 and the lowest concentrations were found in the year 2022. The annual mean concentration for sagamu ranged from to 20451.56mol/m2 to 20453.30mol/m2 . The highest concentration for sagamu were found in the year 2022 and the lowest concentrations wee found in the year 2023.Continuous monitoring of both air quality and tropospheric ozone is necessary to detect changes in tropospheric ozone early on. Policy implementation for controlling air pollution, collection of spatial data, modeling of air quality, identification of hotspots and source distribution using geographic information systems (GIS), promotion of cleaner technologies such as low-emission vehicle use, renewable energy sources, and energy-efficient processes, and public education on the effects of tropospheric ozone and human contributions to its increasing production are also important.
