The potential adverse effects of diets high in fat and fructose on the liver are concerning, especially with the growing consumption of HFCS and sucrose sweeteners. This study aimed to assess the impact of Yoyo Cleanser Bitters on liver damage induced by a high-fat diet and fructose water in male Wistar rats. Twenty male Wistar rats were randomly assigned to four groups of five rats each, with each group receiving a specific diet and treatment regimen. Group 1 received a standard pellet diet and clean tap water, while the other groups consumed a 60% fructose diet and 20% fructose water. Group 3 and Group 4 were additionally treated with Atrovasatin and Yoyo Cleanser Bitters, respectively, administered via daily oral gavage. Rats were fed ad libitum for 56 days. At the study's conclusion, blood samples were collected for biochemical analysis. Liver function tests, including the evaluation of liver enzymes and biomarkers, were performed to determine the effects of Yoyo Cleanser Bitters on liver health. Statistical analysis utilized one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Turkey's test of significance. A p-value less than 0.05 (p<0.05) was considered statistically significant. The study's findings revealed that Yoyo Cleanser Bitters significantly reduced (p≤0.05) liver markers elevated by the high-fat diet and fructose water. The study demonstrated the potential of high-dose Yoyo Cleanser Bitters in treating liver damage induced by a high-fat and fructose.
