ABSTRACT
Globalization undoubtedly has become a socio-political and economic word which has been used synonymously to connote societal change or development. This is partly due to the fact that the globalizing process focuses on profound structural change. This work examines practical implications of the globalizing process in Africa as a case study. This work concludes by discussing necessary steps the African commune ought to take in order not to be swept away by the globalizing trend.
