ABSTRACT
Gender plays a very vital role in the society, the need to suit the norms and says of the society place a borderline on the status of each gender. Over time the female gender have been subdued by the rules and norms of the society, thus this brings us to the present study Gender sensitivism and affirmative action as antithetical to freedom and equality, the study is aimed at using the concept of gender sensitivism and affirmative action to promoting freedom and equality and people of a society, the study made use of a descriptive method in the analysis of the concepts and driving home the fact that freedom and equality should treated as something important. Relevant works of literature were reviewed, and subsequently the question ‘if affirmative action has done a good job or is doing a good job as a tool to checkmate the concepts of equality and freedom' is answered, and the answer becomes yes.
