SUMMARY

 Cybercrime is an activity that can be detrimental to the financial  activities of an organization and the society at large as it could affect individuals both home and Abroad. Opportunity as a component of the fraud triangle theory should be properly evaluated by the relevant financial and security agencies in order to find a solution that could help in curbing cyber crime. This could be done by identifying loopholes and working on them in order to reduce cybercrime. Proceeds from cybercrime could enhance the involvement of individuals in cybercrime. Relevant regulatory and prosecuting agencies should ensure the complete ripping of all proceeds from cybercrime perpetrators after they have been caught. Lastly, investigations should be made into the rationalization of cybercrimes as this could help in reducing the occurrence of cybercrime activities as it affects business organizations.
