ABSTRACT
This study was carried in 2023/2024 at the Department of Crop Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Benin, to culture and multiply Trichoderma spp. to evaluate the different substrate types for the formulation of Trichoderma spp. The experiment was laid out in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications using three treatments of corn cob (smooth blend, coarse blend, and whole form). Data were analyzed using Genstat release version 12th edition. The result obtained showed that the treatments were significant in production of Trichoderma. However, there was significant difference between the smooth treatment and coarse treatment, as well as whole and coarse treatment. The result suggests that smooth and whole treatments should be used in the formulation of Trichoderma pellets.
