ABSTRACT
Forensic accounting, as an administrative function, plays a vital role in safeguarding an organization's assets. Forensic auditors, when empowered, are capable of identifying potential fraud within an organization and, when necessary, conducting thorough investigations into specific cases. They can also propose effective measures to prevent future occurrences of such fraudulent activities. This effectiveness is particularly evident when the working environment provides the necessary conditions for forensic auditors to carry out their responsibilities, utilizing various detective and investigative techniques to combat corporate fraud. 44 In summary, this study highlights the application of forensic practices within the banking industry. It involves the utilization of accounting, auditing, and investigative skills to scrutinize the financial operations of these organizations. This scrutiny is aimed at detecting instances of fraud and embezzlement and providing clear explanations of financial crimes in a legal context. Financial forensic investigations also delve into whether firms and banking institutions engage in fraudulent financial reporting practices.
