ABSTRACT
The research work is based on financial management strategies and growth of MSMEs in Warri, delta state.The objectives of the research amongst others are to examine if the practice of business entity concept significantly affects the growth of a MSMEs, to find out if appropriate sourcing of funds significantly affects the growth of MSME, to know if appropriate investment of funds significantly affects the growth of MSME positively working capital management, investment of fund, financing, sourcing for funds, accounting information systems, financial reporting and analysis, cost of capital, budgeting. The non-probability sampling techniques (convenience) was used and the questionnaire was the major instrument used for the data collection. A total of Forty five (45) questionnaires were distributed to staff of bakeries and table water factory in Effurun and environs. Based on the analysis of data collected, findings revealed among that the practice of business entity concept significantly affects the growth of a MSMEs, appropriate sourcing of funds significantly affects the growth of MSME, appropriate investment of funds significantly affects the growth of MSME positively. It was recommended that managers in MSME should highly prioritize business entity concept during formulation of the organizations strategies as this enhance transparency and accountability, the ministries of finance and industrialization should provide a favorable platform for SMEs to access financing that can enable them to run their businesses at a reasonable cost of financing and business decision should be made base on Proper reports and analysis of financial records.
