FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS OF THE NEW EXAMINATION PROCESSING POLICY IN BENSON IDAHOSA UNIVERSITY, BENIN CITY

ABSTRACT

This research work examines financial implications of the new examination results processing policy in Benson Idahosa University. The objective of this study is to determine: the amount of time used for processing result using the new examination processing policy, the amount of materials used in processing the new examination processing policy, the level of efficiency used in processing the new examination processing policy and the cost involved in processing the result using new examination processing policy. Data for the study was obtained with questionnaire and analyzed with chi-square statistics. From the result of findings, it was discovered that: there is a significant relationship between the time spent in processing the result and the procedure adopted in the new examination processing policy; there is a significant relationship between the materials used in processing the result and procedure adopted in the examination processing policy; there is a significant relationship between the efficiency in processing the result and the method adopted in the new examination processing policy and there is a significant relationship between the costs involved in the result and the procedure adopted in the new examination processing policy. It is therefore recommended that efforts should be made by the school authority to maintain the new examination policy and the school authorities should work out modalities to further reduce the cost of examination in Benson Idahosa University.
